This is the same paper laid open. The two labels on each triangle belong to its two sides. Only the original 18 leaves are used; flexes never add paper.

MEET YOUR HEXAFLEXAGON

A strip with a secret.

A flexagon is a paper strip folded into a ring. A pinch flex opens a new pocket, showing a face that was hidden inside.

  1. Pinch (P) opens the current pocket. Reverse pinch (Q) undoes that kind of flex.
  2. Hinge arrows rotate the paper to a different working edge. Even when the color stays the same, a different pocket may open next.
  3. Turn over (Space) swaps front and back. You can also tap the small reverse face.
  4. Each study asks for one color on the front and another on the reverse. Match both. Every pinch, hinge turn and turnover counts as one move.

Leaf numbers identify individual pieces, so you can track rotations. A grey folding button means that move cannot open from this hinge. Nudge finds a shortest route from your current position. Undo and Start again are unlimited. Studies stay open so you can explore at your own pace.
